TinkerTool gives you access to a wide range of OS X configuration controls, which are normally hidden from the user. You can make a wide range of fine tweaks, like using transparent dock icons for hidden applications, accelerating animations and many more. The best part is that you don't have to go through a maze of options. Everything is placed right in front of you, in an easy to comprehend manner.

When launched, the application will present a myriad of customization options for the system. They are neatly organized on separate tabs, based on the components they affect. You can find options for various sections, like the Finder, dock, desktop, applications, fonts, and more. Most tweaks can be made by simply clicking a series of check boxes o by selecting options in drop-down menus.

As previously mentioned, the application gives you access to configurations options which you normally wouldn't find in your system's configuration panel. For example, you can prevent the system from displaying anything when an application crashes or from quitting inactive applications automatically.

All effects are instantaneous, regardless if you enable or disable a certain feature. If you want everything back the way it was, you can go to the Reset tab, on the same user interface and click a button to restore everything to its default state or to restore the system to its pre-TinkerTool state.

TinkerTool gives you more control over your operating system. It gives you much more in terms of customization, compared to what OS X has to offer.

Pros

The software provides you with additional customization options for OS X. Its controls are neatly categorized. All you have to do is click check boxes or make simple selections, regardless of what tweaks you intend to do.

Cons

There are no serious issues to mention.
